Why this combo works

Snout is already tied to bastions and piglin culture. Resin gives it a hot amber accent that feels more organic than gold while still standing out on netherite.

Use Resin Snout for Nether hubs, bastion loot rooms, magma builds, or any skin with orange, brown, black, and gold tones.

How to build Resin Snout

The full Resin Snout set needs one trimmed helmet, chestplate, leggings, and boots. In survival, each smithing operation consumes one Snout template and one resin trim material.

  • 4 armor piecesNetherite helmet, chestplate, leggings, and boots.
  • 4 Snout templatesFind one at bastion remnant chests, then duplicate it for the full set.
  • 4 Resin materialsUse minecraft:resin_brick once per armor piece.
  • If starting from 1 templateDuplicate 3 times: 21 diamonds + 3 Blackstone.
  1. Find the Snout smithing template from bastion remnant chests.
  2. Duplicate the template until you have 4 copies for the complete armor set.
  3. At a smithing table, combine each netherite armor piece with the Snout template and minecraft:resin_brick.
  4. Repeat for helmet, chestplate, leggings, and boots to complete the full Resin Snout set.

Java /give command

Use these commands in Java 1.21+ to spawn the full Resin Snout set directly.

/give @s minecraft:netherite_helmet[trim={pattern:"snout",material:"resin"}] 1
/give @s minecraft:netherite_chestplate[trim={pattern:"snout",material:"resin"}] 1
/give @s minecraft:netherite_leggings[trim={pattern:"snout",material:"resin"}] 1

Bedrock notes

Bedrock Edition still expects you to apply trims at a smithing table. Give yourself the netherite armor pieces, then combine each piece with the Snout template and resin material.

Style notes and variants

Best for: Bastion raider, piglin champion, Nether treasure hunter.

  • Snout + Gold on Netherite for a classic piglin king set
  • Dune + Copper on Golden for a warmer desert variant
  • Rib + Resin on Netherite for a darker Nether look
