Why this combo works
Flow is softer than Bolt and less literal than Coast. Quartz keeps the lines readable on diamond while making the set feel polished and lightweight.
Use Pure Flow for Trial Chamber builds, breeze-themed bases, sky temples, or skins that use white, cyan, and pale blue.
How to build Pure Flow
The full Pure Flow set needs one trimmed helmet, chestplate, leggings, and boots. In survival, each smithing operation consumes one Flow template and one quartz trim material.
- 4 armor piecesDiamond helmet, chestplate, leggings, and boots.
- 4 Flow templatesFind one at Trial Chamber Ominous Vaults, then duplicate it for the full set.
- 4 Quartz materialsUse minecraft:quartz once per armor piece.
- If starting from 1 templateDuplicate 3 times: 21 diamonds + 3 Breeze Rod.
- Find the Flow smithing template from Trial Chamber Ominous Vaults.
- Duplicate the template until you have 4 copies for the complete armor set.
- At a smithing table, combine each diamond armor piece with the Flow template and
minecraft:quartz. - Repeat for helmet, chestplate, leggings, and boots to complete the full Pure Flow set.
Flow template duplication recipe
Duplicate Flow smithing template
Crafting table recipe: 7 diamonds + 1 Flow template + 1 Breeze Rod gives 2 Flow templates. Starting from one found template, repeat this 3 times to prepare a full 4-piece armor set.
Smithing table recipe for each piece
Diamond armor + Flow template + Quartz
Use the same recipe pattern for every armor slot. Each row below consumes one armor piece, one template, and one quartz material.
Java /give command
Use these commands in Java 1.21+ to spawn the full Pure Flow set directly.
/give @s minecraft:diamond_helmet[trim={pattern:"flow",material:"quartz"}] 1
/give @s minecraft:diamond_chestplate[trim={pattern:"flow",material:"quartz"}] 1
/give @s minecraft:diamond_leggings[trim={pattern:"flow",material:"quartz"}] 1
/give @s minecraft:diamond_boots[trim={pattern:"flow",material:"quartz"}] 1
Bedrock notes
Bedrock Edition still expects you to apply trims at a smithing table. Give yourself the diamond armor pieces, then combine each piece with the Flow template and quartz material.
Style notes and variants
Best for: Trial Chambers reward, clean fantasy armor, light-blue champion.
- Flow + Amethyst on Diamond for a soft purple accent
- Flow + Quartz on Netherite for stronger contrast
- Coast + Quartz on Diamond for an easier ocean-like alternative
