Why this combo works
Golden armor and copper sit in the same warm family, but the darker copper still separates from the bright base. Dune adds the right pyramid geometry.
Use it for desert temples, mesa builds, archaeology rooms, or skins built around yellow, orange, copper, and brown.
How to build Dune Walker
The full Dune Walker set needs one trimmed helmet, chestplate, leggings, and boots. In survival, each smithing operation consumes one Dune template and one copper trim material.
- 4 armor piecesGolden helmet, chestplate, leggings, and boots.
- 4 Dune templatesFind one at desert pyramid hidden chests, then duplicate it for the full set.
- 4 Copper materialsUse minecraft:copper_ingot once per armor piece.
- If starting from 1 templateDuplicate 3 times: 21 diamonds + 3 Sandstone.
- Find the Dune smithing template from desert pyramid hidden chests.
- Duplicate the template until you have 4 copies for the complete armor set.
- At a smithing table, combine each golden armor piece with the Dune template and
minecraft:copper_ingot. - Repeat for helmet, chestplate, leggings, and boots to complete the full Dune Walker set.
Dune template duplication recipe
Duplicate Dune smithing template
Crafting table recipe: 7 diamonds + 1 Dune template + 1 Sandstone gives 2 Dune templates. Starting from one found template, repeat this 3 times to prepare a full 4-piece armor set.
Smithing table recipe for each piece
Golden armor + Dune template + Copper
Use the same recipe pattern for every armor slot. Each row below consumes one armor piece, one template, and one copper material.
Java /give command
Use these commands in Java 1.21+ to spawn the full Dune Walker set directly.
/give @s minecraft:golden_helmet[trim={pattern:"dune",material:"copper"}] 1
/give @s minecraft:golden_chestplate[trim={pattern:"dune",material:"copper"}] 1
/give @s minecraft:golden_leggings[trim={pattern:"dune",material:"copper"}] 1
/give @s minecraft:golden_boots[trim={pattern:"dune",material:"copper"}] 1
Bedrock notes
Bedrock Edition still expects you to apply trims at a smithing table. Give yourself the golden armor pieces, then combine each piece with the Dune template and copper material.
Style notes and variants
Best for: Desert temple explorer, pharaoh guard, warm treasure armor.
- Dune + Redstone on Golden for a stronger red-orange accent
- Sentry + Copper on Iron for a cheaper desert guard
- Dune + Gold on Netherite for a darker treasure-room variant
