Why this combo works

Coast is one of the easiest strong-looking trims to farm. Amethyst gives diamond a little contrast without losing the clean aquatic mood.

Use Coast Diver for beach bases, shipwreck loot routes, ocean maps, or skins that mix cyan with purple highlights.

How to build Coast Diver

The full Coast Diver set needs one trimmed helmet, chestplate, leggings, and boots. In survival, each smithing operation consumes one Coast template and one amethyst trim material.

  • 4 armor piecesDiamond helmet, chestplate, leggings, and boots.
  • 4 Coast templatesFind one at shipwreck treasure chests, then duplicate it for the full set.
  • 4 Amethyst materialsUse minecraft:amethyst_shard once per armor piece.
  • If starting from 1 templateDuplicate 3 times: 21 diamonds + 3 Cobblestone.
  1. Find the Coast smithing template from shipwreck treasure chests.
  2. Duplicate the template until you have 4 copies for the complete armor set.
  3. At a smithing table, combine each diamond armor piece with the Coast template and minecraft:amethyst_shard.
  4. Repeat for helmet, chestplate, leggings, and boots to complete the full Coast Diver set.

Java /give command

Use these commands in Java 1.21+ to spawn the full Coast Diver set directly.

/give @s minecraft:diamond_helmet[trim={pattern:"coast",material:"amethyst"}] 1
/give @s minecraft:diamond_chestplate[trim={pattern:"coast",material:"amethyst"}] 1
/give @s minecraft:diamond_leggings[trim={pattern:"coast",material:"amethyst"}] 1
/give @s minecraft:diamond_boots[trim={pattern:"coast",material:"amethyst"}] 1

Bedrock notes

Bedrock Edition still expects you to apply trims at a smithing table. Give yourself the diamond armor pieces, then combine each piece with the Coast template and amethyst material.

Style notes and variants

Best for: Ocean explorer, shipwreck diver, bright adventure armor.

  • Coast + Lapis on Diamond for a deeper ocean palette
  • Tide + Amethyst on Diamond for a rarer wave set
  • Coast + Copper on Iron for a weathered sailor look
